Regional Sales Manager

About the role

The Regional Sales Manager will lead the sales effort for SA Biomedical Group in the Johannesburg region, driving commercial success in a highly regulated healthcare environment. This role combines strategic planning, team leadership, and customer engagement to grow market share for surgical and orthopaedic products.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with internal teams and customers, maintain timely updates and clear expectations.
• Build strong relationships, promote teamwork, ensure compliance and share knowledge across the region.
• Develop and execute regional sales strategies, monitor market trends and competitor activity.
• Resolve customer and sales issues, manage complaints and make accountable decisions.
• Coach and develop the sales team, drive performance, achieve targets and provide accurate forecasts.
• Foster collaboration, recognise achievements and encourage continuous learning.
• Plan and manage regional operations, reporting, budgets, training, compliance and overall performance.

Required profile

• Minimum BSc/BCur/BCom degree or sales/business management diploma.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience in a surgical/orthopaedic environment with a proven record of leading a team.
• Regional market knowledge is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build internal and external relationships.
• Coaching ability to develop and motivate sales staff.
• Experience setting and managing sales and expense budgets.
• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence, own transport and ability to work after hours.
• Well‑presented, professional demeanor with attention to detail.
• Must reside in Johannesburg.
