Regional Sales Director

About the role

Sulzer is seeking a Regional Sales Director to lead all sales activities for the Services Division across the Sub‑Saharan African region. The role combines strategic planning, tender management and cross‑functional coordination to drive sustainable business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives and revenue targets.
• Identify new market opportunities, monitor industry trends and conduct competitor analysis.
• Lead, coach and mentor the regional sales team, set KPIs and conduct performance evaluations.
• Manage the full tendering process in collaboration with the Head of Tendering and ensure smooth hand‑over to post‑order teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders, leading negotiations and securing high‑value deals.
• Collaborate with marketing, product development, finance and customer service to align sales initiatives with overall company goals.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in sales, preferably within engineering or industrial sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and tender processes.
• Strong track record of revenue growth and client relationship management in the Sub‑Saharan African market.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
