Regional HR Business Partner Lead – Outlets

About the role

The Regional HR Business Partner Lead, Outlets, will oversee all human‑resource activities across assigned stores, partnering with Area HR Managers, regional managers and store leaders to maximize HR investment and drive employee success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive onboarding for exempt roles and HR Lead associates.
• Coordinate interview processes, job offers and ensure timely orientation and ongoing training.
• Resolve associate relation issues promptly and support the Belk Associate Engagement process at each location.
• Manage corrective‑action documentation and conduct investigations as needed.
• Support store‑level HR functions including recruiting, coaching, counseling, change management and talent pipeline development.
• Provide feedback for talent assessments and performance‑management processes.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal laws and Belk policies, maintaining accurate associate data in Workday.
• Recommend actions to reduce turnover, conduct quality exit interviews and support retention initiatives.
• Advise management on disciplinary actions, LOA and reasonable‑accommodation requests in line with ADAAA regulations.
• Produce documentation for EEOC, NRLB, Department of Labor and other regulatory bodies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR leadership within a retail or multi‑store environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, corrective‑action processes and employee‑engagement strategies.
• Excellent communication, confidentiality and business‑acumen skills.
• Ability to act as a mediator between associates and management and to drive change initiatives.
