Regional Finance Manager - Gauteng

About the role

SA Metal is looking for a Regional Finance Manager whose main purpose is to support the Finance Director in managing and overseeing the Gauteng Finance Department. The role requires the ability to multi-task and handle a demanding workload in a highly pressurised environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the full accounting function in the Gauteng region
• Manage, develop, mentor and lead the finance team for the region
• Review the work of the finance team so that accounting is accurate, timely and in line with processes and legislative requirements
• Oversee finance department operations and development, including creating and reviewing policies and procedures and assessing financial procedures regularly
• Review financial data for accuracy, correctness and completeness
• Authorise, oversee and review payments for creditors, expenses and COD on a daily basis
• Perform financial analysis and reporting
• Implement and maintain financial controls

Required profile

• Relevant degree or Accounting Diploma
• Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a managerial finance and administration position
• Experience with ACCPAC is an added advantage
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, work hands-on, work independently and contribute to a positive team environment
