Recruitment Candidate Consultant – UK Education (Remote – South Africa)

About the role

UCM Education is seeking 1‑2 Recruitment Candidate Consultants to support its UK Education desks from South Africa. This full‑time, remote position focuses on fast‑paced candidate delivery for early years, teachers, teaching assistants and SEN staff placements in UK schools.

Key responsibilities

• Source and engage education candidates using the existing database, job boards and other channels.
• Screen CVs and conduct phone interviews to assess suitability, experience and availability.
• Maintain active candidate pipelines through consistent follow‑up and clear communication.
• Update the CRM accurately and book candidates for next recruitment steps.
• Collaborate with senior consultants to meet placement targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in candidate‑facing recruitment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to move quickly on phone and email.
• Coachable, driven and comfortable working in a performance‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems for candidate management.
