Receiving Controller

About the role

The Receiving Controller is responsible for managing all inbound shipments, ensuring accuracy, quality and timely processing of goods. This position works closely with procurement, quality assurance and internal stakeholders to maintain smooth warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive shipments, sign paperwork and unload packages using dollies, forklifts and other equipment.
• Verify invoices, quantities, quality and pricing against orders.
• Inspect packages for damage, open boxes and record findings.
• Maintain accurate records in the SAM system and assist with inventory control.
• Coordinate returns of unsatisfactory shipments and process replacement paperwork.
• Label, store, restock and shelf items as required.
• Conduct daily stock checks and update the SAM system.
• Ensure the receiving area remains clean, organized and audit‑ready.
• Communicate with other departments to resolve issues and guarantee on‑time deliveries.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of warehousing or receiving experience in a mid‑size organisation.
• Warehouse training certification (advantageous).
• Dangerous goods and aircraft spares packing certifications (advantageous).
• High integrity, reliability and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

• Forklift operation experience.
• Forklift licence.
• Proficiency with the SAM AMO system.
