React Native Developer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled React Native Developer to join a remote team delivering innovative digital products. The role focuses on building and scaling a shared codebase for both mobile and TV platforms, ensuring high‑performance streaming experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Own, maintain, and scale a shared React Native codebase for mobile (iOS, Android) and TV platforms (tvOS, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV).
• Design and implement UI and navigation optimized for 10‑foot TV experiences, including focus management and D‑pad navigation.
• Develop, optimise, and maintain high‑performance video playback using HLS and DASH streaming protocols.
• Configure and troubleshoot DRM systems (Widevine, FairPlay, PlayReady) to secure premium content.
• Integrate video ad insertion protocols such as VAST, VMAP, and Server‑Side Ad Insertion (SSAI).
• Manage end‑to‑end submission, compliance and release processes for App Store, Google Play and TV stores, with emphasis on Amazon Fire OS requirements.
• Write clean, high‑quality JavaScript/TypeScript code and optimise performance for TV streaming sticks and older smart TV hardware.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of professional experience with React Native.
• Proven track record of launching at least one application on the App Store or Google Play (mobile or TV).
• Hands‑on experience deploying React Native apps on tvOS, Android TV and Amazon Fire TV.
• Solid understanding of video streaming technologies (HLS, DASH) and DRM systems.
• Practical knowledge of digital advertising integration (VAST, VMAP, SSAI).
