Quantitative Business Analyst – Trading Systems

About the role

Amidel is seeking a mid‑to‑senior Quantitative Business Analyst to shape trading system design from a quantitative perspective. The role bridges traders, risk managers and technical teams to ensure robust data flows and system architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with traders, risk managers and stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into system specifications.
• Design and implement quantitative solutions, integrating trading platforms such as Front Arena or Murex with market data providers like Bloomberg and Reuters.
• Analyze, validate and optimise market data inputs, ensuring data quality, reliability and performance.
• Work with development teams to test configurations, validate performance under live market conditions and resolve data consistency issues.
• Document data flows, system requirements and functional designs, and communicate progress to all parties.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience as a quantitative analyst in investment banking or a related trading‑systems environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CFA or FRM are a plus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Front Arena and/or Murex trading systems.
• Strong familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal, Bloomberg API and Reuters (Refinitiv) data platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, VBA and SQL for data manipulation and model development.
• Experience with APIs, XML and JSON data exchange formats.
• Knowledge of database management systems for querying and analysing market data.
