Quality Manager – Production & Supply

About the role

Syngenta is seeking an experienced Quality Manager for its Brits site in South Africa. The role will lead quality control and assurance activities for crop protection production, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage the site Quality Management System and related improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, industry and internal quality requirements, including ISO 9001.
• Lead risk assessment processes and oversee the Integrated Management System.
• Manage budget and resources for the quality function.
• Identify and drive innovation in analytical technologies and processes.
• Provide technical advice and training to site personnel on quality practices.
• Translate regional and global policies into site‑specific procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.
• 7–10 years of laboratory experience in a production environment.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience in quality or related functions.
• Strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.
