Quality Engineer (Automotive)

About the role

The Quality Engineer will ensure the highest standards of product quality, process efficiency, and regulatory compliance for wire‑harness manufacturing in the automotive sector. You will work closely with production, procurement and supplier teams to drive continuous improvement and meet customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain quality control procedures and standards for wire‑harness processes.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits and product testing to monitor quality and identify improvement areas.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends and root causes, and initiate corrective actions.
• Establish quality checkpoints throughout production and verify conformance to specifications.
• Maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• Support customer audits and ensure compliance with customer‑specific quality requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers, perform audits, and drive supplier quality improvements.
• Lead or participate in cross‑functional process‑improvement projects using APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans and SPC.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of automotive quality management systems and standards.
• Proven ability to lead audits, investigations and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Excellent analytical skills with a data‑driven approach to problem solving.
• Effective communication and teamwork across production, engineering and supplier groups.

Required skills

• ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 compliance.
• APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans.
• Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
• Root‑cause analysis and corrective‑preventive action (CAPA) methodologies.
