Quality Controller

About the role

The Quality Controller will ensure that all products meet the company’s quality standards and comply with customer specifications. This role also supports safety, health, and environmental (SHE) initiatives and maintains good manufacturing practices.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001 compliance.
• Coordinate trials of new products, raw materials and other inputs.
• Identify risks through daily line inspections of production, finished goods and raw material areas.
• Conduct internal audits, prepare findings and reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Perform monthly good manufacturing, safety and hygiene inspections.
• Manage non‑conforming material control and equipment calibration status.
• Assist investigations of customer complaints and SHE incidents.
• Coordinate PPE ordering and issuance with the SHE officer.
• Oversee cleaners’ schedules and induct new employees.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, HACCP and basic SHE principles.
• Experience in FMCG or converting environments.
• Analytical mindset with ability to solve basic problems.
• Proficient written and verbal English.

• Risk management basics.
• Quality control tools: check sheets, cause‑and‑effect (fishbone) diagrams, graphs.
• Syspro ERP familiarity.
• Intermediate MS Office computer skills.
