Quality Control Manager – Utility Scale PV (Electrical)

About the role

The Quality Control Manager will lead the quality assurance and control activities for utility‑scale photovoltaic (PV) projects, focusing on electrical systems. Reporting to senior project leadership, you will ensure that all installations meet the required standards, specifications and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the project Quality Management Plan (QMP).
• Manage site quality control for DC, LV and MV electrical systems, including PV string wiring, DC cable termination, combiner boxes, inverter stations, LV reticulation, MV cable jointing, transformers, substations and switchgear.
• Lead and supervise QA/QC personnel such as Quality Control Officers, inspectors and administrators.
• Approve and coordinate Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists and inspections with clients, consultants, OEMs and utilities.
• Oversee documentation, NCR tracking, punch‑list management and final turnover dossiers.
• Review and close Non‑Conformance Reports, conduct root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct internal audits and support external audits to ensure ISO and project‑specific compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing quality control for electrical installations in utility‑scale PV or similar large‑scale energy projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead QA/QC teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of electrical standards, inspection procedures and ISO quality management systems.
