QC Supervisor – Food Manufacturing

About the role

Our client, a leading food processing company, is seeking an energetic QC Supervisor to lead the quality control team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You will ensure that all products meet the highest safety and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the QC team, manage schedules, and monitor attendance.
• Compile weekly wage and overtime reports and track staff clock‑ins.
• Ensure compliance with the Food Safety Management System and conduct daily quality checks.
• Perform internal audits, pre‑operation inspections, and environmental/product monitoring.
• Investigate customer complaints, run technical trials, and support new product development.
• Maintain SHEQ standards, enforce proper PPE use, and uphold personal hygiene protocols.

Required profile

• Matric and a Diploma in Food Technology or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in the meat industry.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems.
• Experience conducting internal audits and inspections.
• Ability to manage a team and handle shift work, including weekends and public holidays.
