QA Raw Material Technician

About the role

We are looking for a QA Raw Material Technician to join our Boksburg site within the Siqalo Foods division of RCL Foods. Reporting to the Inbound QA Coordinator, you will support the quality assurance function by ensuring all incoming raw materials meet company specifications and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse inbound raw materials for non‑conformities and record results in SAP.
• Communicate with suppliers to drive corrective actions and manage supplier approvals.
• Conduct audits in the warehouse and dispensary to verify GMP compliance.
• Process material returns and supervise removal of non‑conforming material.
• Support raw‑material trials in the packing hall and monitor masses using the MCOM system.
• Perform laboratory tests according to company methodology and maintain equipment calibration.
• Investigate consumer and customer complaints related to raw materials and propose improvement actions.
• Provide statistical data for SPC and process capability reporting.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Packaging Technology or related field.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data and recommend actions.
