QA Chapter Lead

About the role

Impact.com is looking for a QA Chapter Lead to raise the quality bar across its IO and AI engineering groups. The role is influential, shaping how teams design, build and ship software while coaching engineers to own testing end-to-end.

Key responsibilities

• Define and embed a “good” quality standard across both IO (platform) and AI (agentic) product groups.
• Shift quality left by integrating testing into design and development, establishing actionable quality signals such as escaped defects and change-failure rate.
• Grow a cross-group chapter of quality engineers, providing mentorship, reusable harnesses and CI/CD guardrails.
• Build evaluation systems for AI products, including non-deterministic regression suites, safety and hallucination testing.
• Own tooling, automation frameworks and CI/CD quality gates that make compliance automatic.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET) with a strong automation background.
• Proven ability to influence engineering teams without direct reporting lines, raising quality through standards and coaching.
• Hands-on experience testing non-deterministic AI or LLM-based products, including safety and guardrail validation.
• Deep understanding of cloud ecosystems, containerisation (Docker), ETL pipelines and API services.
