Purchasing Manager

About the role

As the Purchasing Manager at Mama Shelter, you will ensure that the hotel has the right products and services at the right time, balancing quality, availability and cost. You will act as the bridge between operational teams and suppliers, driving value while maintaining the guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day purchasing activities across all hotel departments, sourcing goods and services that meet operational and quality standards.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and commercial agreements with local and international suppliers.
• Monitor purchasing costs, identify savings opportunities and support budget alignment.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, evaluate performance and ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with Finance, Stores, F&B, Housekeeping and other teams to manage stock levels, track consumption and minimise waste.
• Maintain compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within hospitality or a similar fast‑paced environment.
• Strong negotiation and commercial acumen.
• Ability to analyse costs and drive efficiency improvements.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Detail‑oriented with solid organisational abilities.
