Property Host – Independent Contractor

About the role

Host Agents is seeking a Property Host to act as the front‑line representative for our short‑term rental portfolio in Langebaan. Working as an independent contractor, you will manage guest experiences, coordinate cleaning teams and ensure each property meets high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for guests throughout their stay, responding promptly to inquiries and resolving issues.
• Provide property information, check‑in/check‑out details and local recommendations, and personalize stays with welcome packages.
• Inspect properties regularly to verify cleanliness and maintenance standards, coordinating cleaning schedules and supplies.
• Monitor safety features such as locks and smoke detectors, and arrange minor maintenance or repairs as needed.
• Collect guest feedback and continuously improve service quality.
• Communicate damages or maintenance concerns to the portfolio manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hospitality, property management or customer service, preferably with short‑term rentals.
• Strong communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and capable of handling multiple properties.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
• Own a cleaning staff and be able to coordinate them to maintain high standards.
