Project Manager – Residential Transformations

About the role

Flyp is looking for a Project Manager to lead hands‑on residential renovation projects in Cape Town. You will oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of home transformations, from design hand‑over to guest‑ready completion, ensuring quality, timeline and budget are met.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full project lifecycle for standard transformations (Upstage, Uplift) and the “Rent While Selling” (RWS) product.
• Coordinate and monitor daily on‑site progress with contractors, building strong remote relationships.
• Interpret design briefs, conduct quality checks and manage third‑party inspections.
• Lead the RWS funnel, onboarding vendors, reviewing details, and upselling optional extras such as furniture packs.
• Handle high‑volume onboarding (20+ properties simultaneously) in partnership with the listings team.
• Organise material deliveries, track contractor progress and trigger staged payments to Finance.
• Process mid‑build variations, evaluating impact on time, cost and scope.
• Serve as primary point of contact for vendors, providing regular updates and site photos.
• Collaborate with Designers, Client Success, Inventory and Operations Hub to ensure internal alignment.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented “plate‑spinner” comfortable managing multiple fast‑paced projects.
• Strong communication skills for remote contractor and vendor management.
• Ability to interpret design intent and resolve ambiguities early.
• Experience coordinating logistics, budgets and variations in a construction or renovation environment.
