Project Manager – Project Controls (12‑month contract)

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the Project Controls function for the SIB project in Steelpoort on a 12‑month contract basis. This onsite role requires full‑time commitment to ensure the project stays on schedule, within budget, and meets quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Scope and plan the SIB project, creating all required artefacts.
• Develop rolling‑wave project plans and detailed schedules, allocating resources and sequencing activities.
• Implement and manage project controls, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, change, and risk controls.
• Produce integrated weekly and monthly progress and cost reports, highlighting variances, SPI, and potential slippages.
• Establish and lead the Project Controls team, ensuring adherence to change management processes.
• Maintain project registers (incidents, issues, risks, changes, decisions) and provide analysis to the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project management and project controls for large‑scale projects.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor performance indices and financial metrics.
• Ability to lead a multidisciplinary controls team and coordinate with stakeholders.
