Project Manager II / Senior PM – Early Development (FSP Model)

About the role

Syneos Health is seeking a Project Manager II / Senior Project Manager to lead early‑development clinical research projects under a Functional Service Provider (FSP) model. The role will act as the primary liaison between the company and its customers, ensuring studies are launched, conducted and closed out on time, within budget and in compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage interdisciplinary clinical research studies, ensuring compliance with GCP, SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as primary liaison with customers to coordinate study launch, conduct and close‑out.
• Lead project teams to deliver quality outcomes, meeting timelines and budget targets.
• Own financial performance of each project, monitoring costs and revenue.
• Coordinate activities of all study conduct partners, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Ensure completeness and quality of the Trial Master File (TMF) and maintain study data in required databases.
• Prepare projects for inspection readiness and oversee development and implementation of project plans.
• Produce and present internal and external documentation and reports as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing clinical research projects from initiation to close‑out.
• Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), SOPs and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills to act as the main point of contact with customers and internal stakeholders.
