Project Manager – Gas Plant Construction

About the role

The Project Manager will lead end‑to‑end planning, execution and delivery of large‑scale gas processing and industrial plant construction projects in Johannesburg. This includes both greenfield and brownfield developments, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, budget adherence and timely completion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and drive detailed project execution plans covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Manage EPC contractors, engineering consultants and internal teams, coordinating scope, milestones and deliverables.
• Control large‑scale EPC budgets, monitor expenditures, and manage contracts (NEC/FIDIC, OEM suppliers).
• Oversee detailed engineering design, construction sequencing, mechanical completion, pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up activities.
• Provide regular project updates, dashboards and executive reports while ensuring alignment with technical and commercial objectives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in gas plant infrastructure projects and EPC delivery.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary engineering teams, contractors and stakeholders.
• Strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, budget control and timeline management.
