Project Lighting Sales Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Project Lighting Sales Specialist to join a dynamic team serving the Gauteng market. You will work closely with architects, designers, contractors and retailers to deliver innovative lighting solutions for commercial, hospitality, residential and retail projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with electrical wholesalers, retailers, contractors, architects, interior designers, developers, consultants and project managers.
• Identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities across multiple sectors.
• Promote and sell decorative, architectural, commercial and smart lighting solutions.
• Prepare quotations, deliver product presentations and create detailed lighting proposals.
• Manage projects from enquiry through after‑sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Conduct regular customer visits, product demonstrations and attend industry events to generate leads.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform sales strategy.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of external sales experience, preferably in project‑driven and specification selling.
• Strong knowledge of lighting products and market segments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and manage time effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using CRM systems.
