Project Finance Associate

About the role

Network Finance is seeking a Project Finance Associate to support renewable energy and infrastructure projects across Africa. You will work with engineering, legal, ESG and project teams to structure bankable investments, raise capital and deliver financial solutions for critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and audit complex project finance models, including valuation, debt sizing, debt sculpting, sensitivity analysis and financial forecasting.
• Support structuring, financing and capital‑raising activities for renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare financial sections of feasibility studies, business cases, procurement documents and bid evaluations.
• Conduct financial due diligence, industry benchmarking and investment analysis.
• Coordinate investor and lender due diligence processes, data rooms and financing workstreams.
• Engage with Development Finance Institutions, commercial lenders, investors and public‑sector clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions and strengthen modelling governance.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field; honours or master’s degree advantageous.
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA), CFA, ACCA or CIMA is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in project finance, renewable energy infrastructure and financial modelling.
