Project Engineer – Water Treatment Projects

About the role

Lexdan Select is supporting a water‑treatment company in Cape Town to recruit a Project Engineer. The role will lead projects from concept through to commissioning and hand‑over, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage water purification projects from design, procurement, installation, commissioning to hand‑over.
• Plan and coordinate schedules, resources, budgets and risk‑mitigation activities.
• Design and oversee mechanical and electrical aspects of treatment systems.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications, drawings and reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, contractors and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor progress, resolve technical issues and ensure quality, safety and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 + years experience in project management or project engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles in industrial systems.
• Proven ability to plan, budget, allocate resources and manage project risks.
