Project Engineer

About the role

As a Project Engineer implementing the On Key EAM system at Pragma, you will work across a variety of industries to help clients optimise their asset management processes. You will be responsible for configuring, integrating and supporting the EAM solution from implementation through post‑go‑live.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in On Key EAM system implementations at client sites or internal operations.
• Gather requirements, analyse business processes and configure the system accordingly.
• Manage data migration, system configuration and integration with other applications.
• Update project plans, timelines and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during implementation and post‑go‑live phases.
• Conduct user training sessions and produce technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, standards and best practices.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification (BEng, BTech or N Diploma).
• Experience with EAM/CMMS implementations, preferably On Key or similar platforms.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present technical information to non‑technical audiences.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional environment.

Required skills

• On Key EAM (or similar EAM/CMMS platforms such as Maximo, SAP PM, Infor EAM).
• SQL database knowledge.
• Reporting tools: Qlic, SSRS.
• API integration and system connectivity methods.
