Project Coordinator – Mining (Africa Focus)

About the role

The Project Coordinator will support our mining intelligence team by researching and verifying mining projects across Africa. You will maintain a high‑quality database of project details and key decision‑maker contacts to enable our sales and marketing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth research on operational, expansion and greenfield mining projects throughout Africa.
• Source and verify project data such as ownership, status, capital expenditure, timelines and operational details.
• Identify, capture and keep up‑to‑date key contacts (e.g., Mine Managers, Project Directors, Engineers, Procurement Heads).
• Engage industry professionals via phone, email and digital platforms to validate and enrich information.
• Monitor mining news, company reports and industry publications for relevant updates.
• Ensure all data meets strict quality, accuracy and relevance standards.
• Regularly update the database and collaborate with sales, marketing and management teams.
• Meet research targets and deadlines while providing insights on market trends.

Required profile

• Strong research and investigative abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and handle multiple projects.
• Experience in mining, engineering, research or B2B information services is a plus.
• Familiarity with the African mining landscape is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with database systems.
