Profit Analyst – Africa (Cape Town)

About the role

The Profit Analyst – Africa will work closely with the Head of Finance to build and maintain a robust performance‑management system that drives sustainable profit growth across the Business Unit. The role provides the analytical framework and decision‑support needed to align commercial actions with the company’s financial targets and balanced scorecard.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the Business Unit financial model, highlighting key profit drivers and linking them to strategy.
• Use the model to inform commercial decisions and achieve financial targets.
• Produce monthly performance reports, flag variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain the Business Unit scorecard, ensuring alignment with the corporate scorecard and integration into monthly reviews.
• Conduct in‑depth profitability analyses on risk and opportunity areas and present clear insights to senior leadership.
• Develop business cases for key initiatives, support Investment Committee presentations, and monitor implementation to capture benefits.
• Provide inputs for the Integrated Business Plan and annual budget, ensuring they reflect Business Unit priorities.
