About the role

Mediclinic is seeking a Professional Nurse High Care to deliver safe, comprehensive, and high‑quality nursing care in line with the professional scope of practice. The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a positive care experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi‑professional team.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.

Required profile

• Essential education: Degree or Diploma in General Nursing.
• Desired education: Midwifery or postgraduate certificate/diploma in a relevant specialty.
• Essential experience: None required.
• Desired experience: One year of post‑graduate qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit.
