Professional Nurse – Critical Care High Care

About the role

Mediclinic is seeking a Professional Nurse to join its Critical Care High Care unit. The role focuses on delivering safe, comprehensive, and high‑quality nursing care in line with the professional scope of practice, while working within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi‑professional team.
• Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Promote a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in General Nursing (essential).
• Additional qualifications such as Midwifery or a postgraduate certificate/diploma in a relevant specialty are desirable.
• No minimum experience required; 1 year of post‑graduate qualification experience in a specialised unit is preferred.
