Professional Nurse Clinical Facilitator

About the role

MHR is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Professional Nurse (PN) to act as a Clinical Facilitator on a 2‑3 month temporary assignment in Cape Town. The role focuses on planning, delivering and assessing training interventions to ensure nursing competency across agency members.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate training and development interventions for agency nurses.
• Assist with recruitment, selection and onboarding of new agency candidates.
• Promote a learning culture and compile L&D reports.
• Facilitate staff in private hospitals and ensure correct application of nursing procedures and policies.
• Identify training needs and develop appropriate clinical training programs.
• Support continuous professional development of nursing staff.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing (Midwifery Diploma or Nursing Education degree is an advantage).
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a professional nurse.
• 1‑2 years experience as a clinical facilitator and as a workplace assessor.
• Current BLS instructor licence.

Required skills

• BLS instructor licence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email).
