Professional Bus Driver – Passenger Transport

About the role

Unitrans is looking for experienced bus drivers to operate passenger services on established routes. You will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, ensuring timely arrivals, and maintaining a comfortable environment inside the vehicle.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a bus on scheduled routes, adhering to prescribed speeds and traffic regulations.
• Control lighting, heating, and ventilation systems to ensure passenger comfort.
• Monitor road and travelling conditions, adjusting driving behaviour to maintain safety.
• Communicate with dispatch and follow company procedures for route management.
• Ensure passengers reach their destinations safely and on schedule.

Required profile

• Valid Public Services Driving License (PG) and Professional Driver Permit (PrDP).
• Proven experience as a professional bus driver.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques.
• Commitment to company code of conduct, policies, and procedures.

Required skills

• Defensive and preventive driving techniques.
• Operation of vehicle lighting, heating, and ventilation controls.
• Understanding of traffic regulations and safe driving practices.
