About the role

dhk Architects is seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead site‑based projects, produce meticulous documentation, and deliver designs to exacting standards across large, complex urban developments.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage on‑site activities for mixed‑use, residential and commercial projects.
• Produce detailed construction drawings, specifications and BIM models.
• Ensure technical and commercial feasibility throughout project phases.
• Maintain compliance with industry codes, standards and building systems requirements.
• Communicate clearly with clients, consultants and contractors, and travel as required.

Required profile

• SACAP‑registered Professional Architect with a strong academic background.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience on large‑scale projects.
• Proven ability to balance aesthetic sensitivity with technical rigor.
• Excellent understanding of building systems, materials and industry regulations.
• Fluent in English and eligible to work in South Africa.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Revit.
• Demonstrated expertise with BIM CDE workflows.
• Strong knowledge of Revit collaboration and modelling best practices.
