Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor will ensure that Scania’s MRZ Delivery Centre provides the highest level of service and support, delivering finished products to customers accurately and on time. The role combines hands‑on production oversight with administrative duties, quality control and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain correct staffing levels and oversee daily production activities.
• Manage all production‑related administration and ensure adherence to takt time.
• Guarantee product quality and compliance with Scania standards.
• Implement SPS improvements and uphold safety, health and environmental (SHE) requirements.
• Lead, coach, delegate tasks and conduct performance discussions (PD talks) with the team.
• Maintain tooling, housekeeping and 5S standards in the work area.
• Document deviations, follow escalation procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and support team leaders and members on standard processes, SPS and 5S.

Required profile

• Matric / N3 qualification.
• 3‑5 years of experience in an assembly or automotive environment, preferably as an Assembly Supervisor.
• Proven record of standardised work and continuous improvement.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Strong communication, leadership and decision‑making abilities.
• Organised, responsible and able to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Code 14 licence (advantageous).
