Production Learner Programme – Entry Level

About the role

Haggie Steel Wire Rope is offering a structured Production Learner programme for young individuals who want to start a career in steel wire and rope manufacturing. Participants will receive on‑the‑job training, develop practical skills and learn to work safely and efficiently in a production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with production activities under supervision and follow work instructions.
• Operate machinery and equipment as instructed, adhering to safety and PPE requirements.
• Perform basic quality checks on materials and finished products.
• Report defects, equipment problems and unsafe conditions promptly.
• Complete production records, documentation and maintain good housekeeping.
• Participate in all required training, attendance and performance assessments.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification with mathematics and science (technical subjects considered).
• Mechanical qualification or related background is advantageous.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Age between 18 and 35 years.
