Production Foreman

About the role

The Production Foreman will lead the Ready Meals Production department, ensuring that daily output targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene. This role requires strong supervisory skills and the ability to coach and motivate a diverse team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage workflow and daily production plans to consistently meet output targets.
• Coach, supervise and discipline staff, conducting back‑to‑work interviews and attendance monitoring.
• Monitor and audit daily preparation against standard yields and document performance.
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures and food safety standards, eliminating rejections.
• Supervise the wash‑up area and ensure hygiene practices are of the highest standard.
• Conduct weekly stock counts, investigate variances and manage root‑cause analysis.
• Coordinate equipment usage, report machinery issues promptly and ensure optimal operation.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties delegated by superiors.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience in the Food or Beverage industry, focusing on hygiene and housekeeping audits.
• Training in GMP, HACCP and WW Code of Practice.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Required skills

• Good knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Good knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
• Proficiency in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook.
