Production Coordinator

About the role

The Production Coordinator will support a growing manufacturing company on the East Rand by organising daily production activities, ensuring material availability, and maintaining quality standards. This role is pivotal for smooth workflow across the shop floor and planning teams.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate and distribute production tasks using the daily schedule and MS Planner.
• Track task progress in real‑time and communicate updates to production and planning teams.
• Coordinate with Stores to requisition materials, adhering to collection time slots.
• Implement visual scanning to monitor job flow on the floor.
• Conduct final quality checks and ensure ISO and client standards are met.
• Oversee maintenance logs and schedule routine equipment maintenance.
• Manage stock levels, applying effective control measures to avoid shortages or overstock.
• Raise and process non‑conformance paperwork, prioritising rectification.

Required profile

• Matric or relevant tertiary qualification.
• Refrigeration experience is a plus.
• Previous exposure to a production environment.
• Strong technical/operational background.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
