Production Coordinator – Durban

About the role

The Production Coordinator will act as the central hub linking Sales, Production, Procurement, Quality Assurance and Warehouse teams for a leading South African apparel and merchandise manufacturer. You will ensure customer orders move smoothly from receipt to dispatch, meeting tight production deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production schedules across multiple manufacturing departments.
• Allocate work orders and monitor capacity to meet delivery commitments.
• Track work‑in‑progress, identify potential delays and adjust plans proactively.
• Receive, process and verify all production documentation for incoming orders.
• Facilitate the movement of orders through each department and ensure accurate hand‑overs.
• Liaise daily with Sales, Procurement, Warehouse and Production teams, providing status updates and escalating bottlenecks.
• Resolve queries related to specifications, materials and delivery dates.
