Mechatronics Engineer – 3+ years experience

About the role

We are looking for a Mechatronics Engineer with at least three years of experience to join our high‑tech engineering team in Durban. You will work on cutting‑edge projects that have global impact, building prototypes and integrating advanced automation solutions. The role involves close collaboration with a small, highly skilled team and regular overseas travel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or related field such as Electronics with automation experience.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in machine design, R&D, and circuit design.
• Proven project and supplier management abilities.
• Strong determination and willingness to tackle challenging tasks.
• Readiness to travel internationally on a regular basis.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD design.
• PLC programming expertise.
• Automation knowledge, including control of servo motors, temperature circuits, HMIs and pneumatics.
• Python programming for control systems (temperature, pressure, flow).
• Experience in machine design and circuit design.
• Hands‑on prototype development.
