Production and Logistics Manager

About the role

Mountain Falls is seeking an experienced Production and Logistics Manager to oversee daily coordination of production, inventory, warehousing and logistics across its facilities. This hands‑on role translates sales forecasts into practical production plans, maintains accurate stock records and resolves operational issues before they impact customers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and implement production plans based on sales forecasts, confirmed orders and stock requirements.
• Translate demand into clear daily and weekly production priorities.
• Ensure raw materials, packaging and other inputs are available when needed.
• Monitor production output against plan and address delays or capacity constraints.
• Manage staffing requirements, shift allocation and overtime.
• Monitor waste, product quality and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate production downtime and maintenance with technical managers.
• Maintain accurate stock records across Hermanus, Cape Town and external warehouses.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies; coordinate stock counts.
• Manage replenishment of internal and external warehouses, including Zarmi and First Wave.
• Coordinate inter‑warehouse transfers and transport requirements.
• Lead production and warehouse teams, set expectations and monitor performance.
• Escalate performance and operational issues to senior management.
• Report risks, variances and problems with practical recovery plans.
• Continuously improve production, warehouse and logistics processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production planning and inventory control.
• Strong background in logistics and warehouse coordination.
• Ability to lead and motivate production and warehouse teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Experience translating sales forecasts into actionable production schedules.
