Procurement Team Leader

About the role

The Procurement Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that all procurement activities meet national standards, use approved vendors, and align with budgetary constraints. This role also oversees hub fleet requirements and coordinates stock and asset management across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the procurement team, setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and feedback.
• Ensure all purchases are made with approved vendors, negotiate pricing agreements, and manage RFQs to establish preferred suppliers.
• Oversee purchase order creation, stock usage projections, and regular stock and asset audits.
• Coordinate stock distribution to district offices and hubs, ensuring faulty stock is tested, returned, and replaced as needed.
• Manage fleet agents across sites, maintain accurate fleet records, and align fleet forecasting with hub budgets.
• Prepare and submit budget information, report overspend items, and provide regular reporting to the Regional Network Manager.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, develop, and onboard team members effectively.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and budget control.
• Excellent communication skills and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Ability to analyze stock data, forecast needs, and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
