Procurement Specialist – Preferential Procurement & Supplier Development

About the role

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) is hiring a Procurement Specialist to join its Finance team in Midrand, Gauteng. The role drives procurement transformation by enabling inclusive supplier growth, advancing B-BBEE objectives and delivering sustainable value through strategic sourcing and supplier development. The closing date is 3 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage the Preferential Procurement (PP) Transformation Strategy to meet CCBSA Transformation Committee targets and B-BBEE compliance goals.
• Support the development, rollout and monitoring of procurement transformation initiatives across business units.
• Lead RFP development and execution, evaluating proposals in line with CCBSA and CCBA procurement and category strategies.
• Maintain a database of emerging and designated group suppliers and support their development and integration into the supply chain.
• Analyse procurement spend and category markets, and deliver monthly reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with B-BBEE codes, the Competition Commission and other regulations, and update policies accordingly.
• Train and coach internal stakeholders on procurement transformation and legislation.
• Drive continuous improvement through benchmarking and process enhancement.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance or a related field; Honours degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
• 3 years' experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• At least 1 year of focused experience in transformation-related projects, preferably in procurement.
• Proven experience in preferential procurement, supplier development and B-BBEE compliance.
• Ability to conduct market analysis, manage RFPs and analyse procurement spend.

Required skills

• Strategic procurement execution and project and RFP lifecycle management.
• Data analysis, spend analytics and report development.
• Knowledge of preferential procurement and B-BBEE codes.
• Supplier relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
• Professional certification in procurement (e.g. CIPS, SAPICS) is advantageous.
