Annual Financial Statements (AFS) CoE Analyst

About the role

Deloitte is hiring an Annual Financial Statements (AFS) Centre of Excellence analyst in Midrand. The AFS hub supports onsite audit teams with annual financial statements, financial statement casting, IFRS checklists and testing of certain regulatory requirements. The role involves performing audit procedures and supporting audit teams to deliver high-quality audits.

Key responsibilities

• Perform selected audit procedures to support high-quality audits for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Support onsite audit teams in delivering audit services while maintaining quality and professional standards.
• Use audit software and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Apply knowledge of accounting and auditing standards to meet regulatory requirements.
• Communicate findings and insights with the onsite team and help resolve identified matters in a timely way.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting (preferable) or any undergraduate qualification specialising in Accounting, Finance or Business Management.
• Analyst Level 1: 12 months of experience in an audit or accounting role.
• Experience in a Delivery Centre.
