Procurement Officer

About the role
We are looking for a Procurement Officer to support an agricultural company’s farm operations. The role involves sourcing and managing suppliers for items such as fertilizer, chemicals, uniforms and other farm necessities.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update the supplier database.
- Source suppliers, obtain quotations and place purchase orders.
- Provide general administrative support to management.
- Monitor stock levels and manage inventory control.
- Process purchase orders and invoices accurately.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services by suppliers.
Required profile
- Minimum Grade 12 education; tertiary qualification preferred.
- At least 2 years of procurement experience dealing with suppliers.
- Strong communication and computer proficiency.
- Experience in stock or inventory control.
- Knowledge of procurement procedures and supplier negotiations.
