Procurement Administrator

About the role

The Procurement Administrator supports the day‑to‑day procurement function, ensuring that purchase orders are prepared accurately, suppliers are followed up promptly, and all records are maintained in the Evolution system. This role is highly focused on control, accountability and timely processing of procurement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, check and process purchase orders according to company procedures, approval requirements and supplier agreements.
• Review stock levels, min/max triggers and supplier pricing before issuing orders.
• Contact suppliers to schedule deliveries, resolve shortages, price queries and incorrect shipments.
• Track requisitions, back‑orders and purchase orders until they are closed out, maintaining a clear audit trail.
• Maintain supplier price lists, update changes and communicate them where required.
• Compare supplier invoices with purchase orders and delivery documents to verify accuracy and support month‑end creditor checks.
• Escalate any discrepancies, missing information or supplier delays to prevent delays in management review.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accurate record‑keeping.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple procurement tasks simultaneously.
• Good communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Basic understanding of inventory control and procurement principles.

Required skills

• Experience using the Evolution procurement system.
