Printer – Label Production

About the role

AVVO LABELS CC is seeking a dedicated Printer to join its label manufacturing team in Durban. The role is full‑time, on‑site and focuses on operating and monitoring printing equipment to produce high‑quality labels.

Key responsibilities

• Set up printing jobs according to job tickets and technical specifications.
• Operate inkjet and other printing machinery, monitor ink levels and ensure consistent print quality.
• Perform routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with production and bindery teams to complete cutting, folding and finishing processes.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and meet production deadlines.

Required profile

• Experience in a print shop, manufacturing or related production environment (beneficial but not mandatory).
• Strong attention to detail and quality‑control focus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks safely.
• Good communication skills and teamwork orientation.
• Basic computer literacy, preferably with production tracking or job‑management systems.
