Principal Quality Management – Engineering & Maintenance

About the role

Anglo American is seeking a highly credible, forward‑thinking Principal Quality Management professional to shape and elevate quality performance across Engineering & Maintenance and Supply Chain functions. The role will drive consistency, excellence and asset performance through a centralised quality management framework.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Anglo American Quality Assurance Strategy.
• Design and sustain a Quality Management System (QMS) for Engineering & Maintenance and Supply Chain.
• Establish quality policies, standards, procedures and technical specifications aligned with corporate, regulatory and ISO requirements.
• Lead quality assurance programmes, including audits, inspections and process‑maturity assessments.
• Provide independent assurance that engineering design, procurement, fabrication, installation and maintenance meet defined quality standards.
• Monitor compliance with asset‑integrity, OEM specifications, statutory obligations and contractual quality clauses.
• Develop quality plans for major projects, operational readiness, engineering and maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality governance and assurance within complex, global environments.
• Strong influencing and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Passion for continuous improvement and embedding best practices.
• Ability to align quality outcomes with industry‑leading standards and corporate objectives.
