Primary School English Teacher (Foundation Phase)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Foundation Phase English teacher to join SPARK Schools at the Blue Downs campus. The role involves delivering engaging English lessons to primary‑phase learners, both in‑person and through our blended learning platform, while fostering a positive classroom culture.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality English lessons aligned with the curriculum.
• Provide instruction across a variety of topics, using engaging resources and differentiated strategies.
• Collaborate with grade‑level and content partners to design rigorous learning experiences and individualized behaviour and learning plans.
• Lead weekly SEL circles and implement the SPARK Social‑Emotional Learning curriculum.
• Apply SPARK culture and behaviour‑management strategies consistently.
• Administer weekly and term assessments, analyse data and track student progress.
• Submit student results data as required and maintain accurate records.
• Participate in pre‑service and ongoing professional development sessions.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, parents and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to a high‑achieving environment and attend Saturday events and parent community meetings.

Required profile

• Qualified to teach English at the Foundation Phase (primary) level.
• Demonstrated commitment to high expectations for student achievement, behaviour and academic growth.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
• Strong communication skills with learners, parents and school leadership.
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and school community activities.
