Practice Manager – Private Medical Group

About the role

A well‑established private medical group in Somerset West, Cape Town is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations. You will work with an experienced administrative team during a period of digital transformation, ensuring smooth service delivery and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational management of the practice.
• Manage and support the administrative and billing team.
• Ensure efficient billing, debtor processes, and overall practice workflow.
• Assist with implementation of new digital systems and workflow improvements.
• Liaise with medical practitioners to address operational requirements.
• Monitor practice performance and maintain effective administrative processes.
• Manage human‑resources functions, staff performance, and general practice administration.
• Ensure compliance with practice policies and relevant healthcare legislation.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Practice Manager within a private medical practice.
• Strong financial and operational management background.
• Sound knowledge of private practice administration, medical aid processes and anaesthetist billing.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate an experienced administrative team.
• Experience with practice management software and digital systems.
• High level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
