Practice Manager – Multidisciplinary Medical Centre (Midrand)

About the role

The Practice Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of a well‑established multidisciplinary medical centre in Midrand, Johannesburg. Reporting to corporate leadership, the role ensures efficient administration, high‑quality patient service, regulatory compliance and alignment with organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full operational management of the practice, including clinical support, front‑office processes and service delivery.
• Implement national operational initiatives and drive local process improvements.
• Manage relationships with health professionals, administrative staff, patients and corporate stakeholders.
• Monitor operational costs, turnover and financial performance; prepare budget variance and KPI reports.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare legislation, ethical standards and regulatory requirements; support internal audits.
• Lead manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management and staff development.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Healthcare Management or related field.
• Proven experience in managing a multidisciplinary medical practice or similar healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of South African healthcare legislation and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
