Picker and Packer - Warehouse, Kempton Park

About the role

Hsystems is looking for a Picker and Packer to support warehouse operations in Kempton Park. The main purpose is to select goods accurately from picking lists against customer orders, pack them according to company standards and prepare them for shipment or delivery. Accuracy matters because picking mistakes can affect customer orders, dispatch and stock records. The role starts in January 2027, after the annual shutdown.

Key responsibilities

• Pick goods according to picking lists, check quantities and colours, complete picking slips and report any differences found.
• Pack goods correctly, wrap them according to company procedures and place them in the right storage areas or bins.
• Prepare goods for dispatch and make sure stock submitted to dispatch matches the order requirements.
• Assist with receiving stock, loading and unloading vehicles, and taking part in stock counts.
• Maintain orderly storage areas and help keep the warehouse clean and tidy.
• Accompany drivers on deliveries and assist with loading or offloading at customer sites; candidates with a valid driver's licence may also drive a company vehicle and follow road safety rules.
• Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, company policies and the SHEQ Integrated Management System, and wear the required personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification.
• At least one year of experience in a similar position.
• Basic numerical skills and practical knowledge of warehouse operations.
• Attention to detail, ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Understanding of relevant ISO standards.
• Accurate picking and packing abilities.
